On of the things I love about reviewing movies for Video Vault is that I often get a lot of titles in that I would not normally pick out to watch. Often I stumble across a great movie or intersting documentary that I otherwise would have missed. Today I am tackling Michael Moore’s newest full length documentary, Capitalism: A Love Story. In Capitalism: A Love Story, controversial Director Michael Moore adds the American financial system to the list of topics he has tackled on celluoid over the last years. Along the way Moore interviews Senators, Bankers, Clergymen and Realtors as well as the victims to the system who have lost their jobs and been evicted from their homes. Hel (Erin Cummings), Trixie (Julia Voth) and Camero (America Olivo) have an uneasy alliance. The busty trio have joined together to relieve a dangerous crime boss of $200 million in diamonds, which have been hidded in an abandoned mobile home in the middle of the desert. The girls have enlisted the unwilling help of one of the bosses’ generals, Gage (Michael Hurst) to show them where the diamonds are hidden. While Camero and company are interrogating Gage, they are interrupted by a steady stream of visitors, all of which are a threat to blow their plan. As the tension rises the girls begin to distrust each other more and more, and by the end it is clear that not everyone will make it out alive with the diamonds. Read the rest of this entry »

Baker, aka “Chuck” (Dwayne Johnson), an astronaut from a planet called Earth. Conditioned by his religious parents to practice abstinance until marriage, Robby finds himself the last living human on Earth after an infection turns the world’s population into fanged nymphos. Accompanied by his trusty partner Billy (a bassett hound!) Robby roams the deserted streets, ducking into boarded up buildings to observe various combinations of mostly tattooed and pierced women (with an occasional man in the mix) doing what horny vampires do best. That would be rolling around naked for long intervals of time and simulating sexual activity. Quite frequently Robbie inadvertantly alerts the vampires that he is watching and they usually beg him to join in and then shrug and get back to it when he runs away. Read the rest of this entry »

Mystery Science Theater 3000 enjoyed a 10 year run that spanned 3 stations and a major theatrical release that is still one of my personal favorite comedy movies (Shame on you Universal for not giving it a Blu Ray with Extra features!) From day one the crew has always encouraged fans to tape the shows and pass them around, which created a word of mouth campaign that was a fantastic precursor to today’s viral marketing. So here we are over 20 years later and the show still enjoys a huge fanbase, with most of the cast is still doing their thing through either Rifftrax or Cinematic Titanic. One of the best things to happen to Mystery Science Theater 3000 in recent history was the DVD rights going to Shout! Factory, who thus far have put a lot of care into their releases to insure they look great. Read the rest of this entry »

I AM VIRGIN Comes To DVD February 23
One virgin stands alone against 6.8 billion sex-crazed vampires!

IMD Films and MVD Visual are pleased to announce the release of I Am Virgin for North American distribution on February 23, 2010.

I Am Virgin is a spoof of I Am Legend, the 2008 science fiction release starring Will Smith. And as the title suggests, Robby is a virgin. Read the rest of this entry »
