A Very Video Vault Christmas

This one is in the history books but be watching for a new dvd exchange soon!

Ok guys, we have had a big enough amount of positve responses to go forward with a Christmas Gift Exchange for the site. In the past, traders have had a lot of fun with this, so it should be a good time for all! It’s a great way to add some new DVD or Blu Rays to your collection and suprise a friend with a title they havent been able to locate.

This needs to move along quickly in order for everyone to receive their presents by Christmas so please take a moment to opt in by Tuesday, December 8th so we can pick wish lists by the end of the week.

To be a part of this: Simply shoot me an email at video_vault@kinkycyborg.com with your Video Vault name, real name, mailing address and wish list. I will only be sharing your information with the person that picks you so it will be secure.

What can you put on your wishlist? Please keep it in the range of 10 to 20 titles of dvds and Blu Rays. In the future we will open up Holiday Exchanges to Video Games and CDs but for the inaugeral Video Vault Exchange, we are going to keep it basic and see how it goes.

First off, mix up your lists. If everyone requests only new release Blu Rays, we might as well buy the movie we want for ourselves and save the hassle. Feel free to include some Blue Rays on your want list but mix in some older releases and even some out of print stuff. The more variety on your list, the better the suprise. Also, please list at least 10 titles to give your Santa a few choices.

IF you want to pick a title off of comeone’s list and order it off of Amazon, then you are more than welcome to do so but it is not a requirement. We ask that your gift is in good, working condition, like you would expect to receive but do not require it to be new. In the past, I have found part of the fun is to match up with someone that has simular movie tastes and find a title or two off their lists from your personal collection of stuff you would not normally want to trade.

Once everyone is entered, I will list out the lists with numbers assigned in the place of names, to add to the secret factor. I will note which lists are from Canada and which are from the US as it can impact timeframes to get gifts out and help ensure everyone gets their gifts on time.

Given the economic state of things, lets try to limit the gifts to around $20 value. It’s not a requirement but there is no need to go all Michael Scott and give someone an Ipod for the exchange! (Sorry, obligatory Office reference…) I have rattled on enough so I will start posting lists below in the order I receive them and that will also be the order of selection of your giftee. Have Fun!
